St Georges Veterinary Hospital in Avenel, NJ is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to support diagnosis and treatment plans alongside veterinarians. The ideal candidate will be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, and handling animals safely.

Responsibilities include placing IV catheters, drawing blood, running bloodwork, performing venipuncture, maintaining medical records, and educating clients.

Formación

• 2+ years veterinary experience required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of vaccines and administering them.
• Experience in dispensing and administering medication.
• Able to obtain a complete patient history and maintain medical records.
• Pharmacology calculations and surgical experience (prep, monitor, recovery, etc.)
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Positive team player willing to continue to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and assist in surgery.
• Handle and restrain animals safely.
• Perform venipuncture and draw blood; prepare and monitor samples.
• Place IV catheters and administer medications as directed.
