Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Restrain animals and triage incoming patients.
  • Collect and analyze lab samples; perform basic diagnostic imaging.
  • Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases; administer medications.
  • Communicate treatment plans to clients; assist in surgical prep and anesthesia as needed.
  • Handle potential exposure to odors, bites, scratches and waste.

We’ll be available for urgent care pet needs every day from 3 pm – 11 pm. We are eager and ready to serve the local community and their pets and are currently looking for veterinary technicians and assistants to build our medical care team!

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
