Job description

VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our AAHA accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA.

Compensation: $ 22.00 - $ 24.00 / hr. Depending on experience/credentials. Shift differential Friday - Sunday

Schedule: Four / Five days a week including weekends. Days. 9am to 6pm.

Our facility has been serving the community since the 60’s. Chatoak's talented team of medical professionals are dedicated to delivering high quality patient care to cats & dogs.   • Physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy
  • Catheter placement
  • Pharmacy
  • Patient recovery
  • Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
  • All aspects of patient care
  • Animal handling and restraint
  • IM, IV,SQ injections
  • Dental cleanings/dental radiography
  • Digital radiography
  • Nursing care/hospitalization treatments
  • Client communication
