Job summary

Gunstock Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to help repair and maintain the resort's vehicle and equipment fleet. You will work on snowmobiles, ATVs, electric carts, generators, and lawn equipment, and may assist with heavy equipment and grooming vehicles.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of technical training, and a valid NH driver’s license. This role requires physical endurance and ability to work outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; 3-5 years of technical training in the repair and maintenance of gasoline, diesel and electric engines.
• Strong working knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools, materials and equipment of the automotive and mechanical trades.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in various types of vehicles and equipment in the resort fleet while working independently.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic welding and fabricating skills.
• Ability to use and maintain bench and hand tools, machines and test equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Valid NH Drivers License required; CDL-B preferred but not required

Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the repair and maintenance of the resort vehicle and equipment fleet including but not limited to: snowmobiles, ATVs, electric carts, generators, lawn maintenance equipment. May also assist other mechanics with the repair and maintenance of construction equipment, specialized grooming track vehicles and equipment, and heavy duty trucks and busses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalency; 3-5 years of technical training in the repair and maintenance of gasoline, diesel and electric engines; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong working knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools, materials and equipment of the automotive and mechanical trades
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in various types of vehicles and equipment in the resort fleet while working independently
• Must be able to demonstrate basic welding and fabricating skills
• Ability to use and maintain bench and hand tools, machines and test equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Valid NH Drivers License required; CDL-B preferred but not required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 18 years of age or older with good physical coordination, flexibility, balance and upper and lower body strength to allow twisting and turning of upper torso while handling components weighing up to 60lbs; ability to work in tight spaces; occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs; ability to work in variable outdoor weather conditions; ability to tolerate moderate amounts of dust, grit, hazardous materials and other vehicle related products/byproducts normally associated with mechanic work.

SCHEDULING:

Position requires 40-48 hours per week including days, weekend and holiday shifts.
