Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced V-22 Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Technician to support V-22 Maintenance & Modifications at MCAS New River, Jacksonville, NC.

The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in aspects of V-22 aircraft maintenance, modification and repair to include skill and experience in either Electrical and Avionics or Airframes system subject areas and have knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (FOD control, tool control, health & safety).

You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.

Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer and/or management requirements.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):
  • Independently assemble, disassemble and fix numerous assemblies by changing, removing and replacing aerospace components, using general aerospace maintenance practices and aerospace product specifications to correct failures
  • Remove and replace components for repair, replacement or testing, to support product serviceability
  • Resolve and correct routine problems during operation, maintenance and overhaul of deliverable products
  • Coordinate assembly, disassembly or overhaul functions to ensure adequacy, accuracy and thoroughness of product assembly, disassembly and overhauls
  • Independently perform routine and complex functional/diagnostic tests and solve problems aerospace/missile systems, using monitoring instruments and bench/automated test equipment, to resolve root cause of initial or isolated failures
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components to ensure serviceability
  • Solve problems for customers, using established fault isolation procedures, in order to isolate routine mechanical or electrical faults
  • Fix with limited/little engineering or co-worker assistance
  • Call out repairs and consult engineering and customer with results, if needed
  • Independently document repair, test result, applicable modifications and inspection results, using specific, detailed instructions and established processes and procedures, to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
  • Verify and ensures correctness of detailed instructions and procedures to modify, fix, repair and test assemblies. Assists engineering to rectify discrepancies found by technicians
  • Properly identify discrepancies found with parts and assist with reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Visually inspect components before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components
  • Identify and document discrepancies found during inspection
  • Independently performs modifications to satisfy deliverable products
  • Ensures adequacy, accuracy and thoroughness of product modification.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with V-22 Maintenance/Modification
  • Ability to travel 30%
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic, Military Bases CONUS plus Hawaii) and for a variety of durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to travel will be considered as a resignation
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred
  • Quality Assurance experience preferred
  • Extensive Depot-level modification experience preferred

Summary pay range: $62,900 - $85,100
