Responsibilities

  • Provide understanding of the theory of operation for V-22 systems.

  • Develop solutions to highly complex MV-22 technical problems without assistance.
  • Promote MV-22 maintenance practices and approve changes via review processes.
  • Interface with senior customer personnel and know MV-22 structures, dynamics, hydraulics, and avionics.
  • Read and interpret Boeing drawings; familiarity with MV-22 IETMS and maintenance programs.
  • Support engineering processes using Word/Excel/PowerPoint; adapt to priorities.
  • Develop and conduct ad hoc training; travel and relocation as required.
  • Alternate work schedules and overtime may be required.
  • Travel to austere environments to meet customer requirements.

Job description

Senior V-22 Field Service Representative
Overview

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to support the V-22 Fleet Support Team at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, Havelock, North Carolina. The selected candidate will be collocated with USG representatives supporting the V-22 Fleet Support Team activities related to fleet sustainment and will use technical expertise to assist the FST in achieving and sustaining proficiency in operation and maintenance of the MV-22 aircraft. Field Operations roles may require travel to domestic and/or international locations and potential relocation based on customer needs.

Specific contracts may require deployment to US DoD contingency operations. Employees associated with these contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide understanding of the theory of operation for V-22 systems and the complex interdependencies among these systems.
  • Support engineering level investigations, fault locating, repair development, modification development, and the development of associated technical documentation.
  • Assist USG engineering with system integration of proposed aircraft modification and retrofit activities.
  • Communicate effectively as a primary technical contact on significant issues requiring coordination across company and customer organizations.
  • Develop and provide solutions to a wide variety of highly complex MV-22 technical problems without assistance.
  • Promote sound MV-22 maintenance practices and propose changes using approved review processes.
  • Interface with senior customer personnel and possess knowledge of MV-22 structures, dynamics, hydraulics, systems, and aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Read and interpret Boeing engineering drawings; familiarity with MV-22 IETMS and maintenance programs.
  • Support engineering processes using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; adapt to changing operational priorities.
  • Develop and conduct ad hoc training; willingness to travel and potentially relocate to meet customer requirements.
  • Alternate work schedules and overtime may be required.
  • Ability to travel to austere and possibly hostile environments to meet customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work.
  • Minimum 10 years in military systems engineering processes and logistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a field service representative supporting a defense system.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) requirements.
  • Ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, overtime; some schedules may rotate.
  • Willing and able (potentially on short notice) to deploy/travel to various locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs, with relocation as required; non-deployment without compelling reasons could be considered a resignation.
