BHSI has an exciting opportunity to join our growing Transactional Liability team in New York City as an Underwriter focused on the Tax Insurance product. The Transactional Liability team provides insurance in connection with Mergers & Acquisitions (including Representation and Warranty Insurance), Tax Insurance, and Contingent Liability Insurance.
In this role, the Tax Underwriter will collaborate with the other members of the Tax Insurance team to review, evaluate, and underwrite opportunities for tax insurance involving a wide variety of potential tax exposures, including those arising in M&A transactions, the eligibility for projected renewable energy and other tax credits, the tax treatment of restructuring transactions (including spin-offs and recapitalizations), REIT and S corporation qualification matters, and many other U.S. federal, state, local and international direct and indirect tax issues.
The base salary range for this position in New York is $150,000 to $250,000 along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
