Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an Experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time onsite role.

You will document patient histories, operate and sterilize ultrasound equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging. The position requires ARDMS and/or RVT registration, proficiency in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular, and CPR-BLS certification, with competitive pay between $38 and $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently.
• Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular.
• Experience in Breasts.
• CPR-BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination.
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging.
• Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience.
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
• Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures.
• Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart.
• Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician.
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists.
• Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions.

What We Are Looking For

Location: Onsite Arlington Heights

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday Hours Vary Between 6:30am-4:00pm
