84 Lumber in Cartersville, GA is hiring Truss Builders for their fast-paced manufacturing facility. Duties include assembling roof and floor trusses from drawings, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Pay starts at $18.50/hr with first shift 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday; second shift 3:30pm–1:30am at $19.50/hr, with potential overtime on Saturdays. Benefits include insurance, 401(k), and bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure and use power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs repeatedly

  • Read and interpret engineered drawings and blueprints
  • Maintain quality, safety, and production standards

84 Lumber is hiring Truss Builders for our fast‑paced manufacturing facility in Cartersville, GA. We are seeking experienced candidates as well as motivated individuals ready to learn a skilled trade and grow their careers.

If you have experience in construction, framing, carpentry, warehouse operations, landscaping, concrete, roofing, plumbing, painting, or general labor, we encourage you to apply.

Builders are responsible for the efficient assembly and manual plating of individual trusses in accordance with shop drawings within the time frame determined by the supervisor and in keeping with the Quality Standards for Roofs and Floors.

Schedule & Pay
  • Pay starts at $18.50/hr
  • 1st shift 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday–Friday
  • Overtime may be available, including Saturdays
  • 2nd shift 3:30pm–1:30am, $19.50/hr

  • Must show up on time, every day
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work 8–10 hour shifts on your feet
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be comfortable working in heat, cold, and dust
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed
