Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbon Arborist to trim and remove trees while prioritizing health and safety. You will join a team that values outdoor work, professional development and community forestry excellence. The office is outdoors with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Location is Milford, OH, on-site, with up to 25% travel. Company benefits include PTO, holidays, 401(k) with match, health plan and an employee-owned structure.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

• Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Perform tree removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
