Job summary

Talent Masters Staffing is seeking a Tool Maker in Minnesota to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, build and assemble progressive dies, and operate manual machines safely. You will perform die tryouts, repairs, sharpening, maintenance, and inspect tooling with precision instruments while documenting changes for continuous improvement.

The role also emphasizes mentoring junior Tool & Die Makers and strict adherence to safety and compliance requirements in a full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in tool & die making preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tool & die making with strong manufacturing background.
• Familiarity with CAD software for die design or modification.
• Experience with manual machining, advanced die assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting.

What you will do

• Operate manual machines (mill, grinder, lathe, drill press) safely and accurately
• Perform die tryouts, repairs, sharpening, and maintenance
• Inspect tooling and parts using precision measuring instruments
• Recommend tooling improvements and document changes
• Mentor Tool amp; Die Maker I amp; II employees
• Follow all safety and compliance requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in tool amp; die making preferred
• 5+ years of experience in tool amp; die making with strong manufacturing background
• Familiarity with CAD software for die design or modification
• Experience with manual machining, advanced die assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently during shifts
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
• Strong vision, dexterity, and focus for detailed precision work
