Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a seasoned Contracts Manager to coordinate commercial activities for contractor agreements across Facility Services, Procurement and external vendors. You will lead negotiations, maintain a master contract register and track milestones, notices, and expiration dates.

You will support RFP data, onboarding, and contract close-out, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. The role requires strong communication, organization, and analytical skills with 5+ years in

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • MBA or related Master’s preferred but not mandatory.
  • 3+ years in a project management role; 5+ years in contract management, preferably in high-tech infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Align commercial terms across Facility Services, Procurement and vendors; lead negotiations and approvals.
  • Collect and analyze FS input for RFPs and hand off to Procurement on schedule.
  • Maintain a master contract register with amendments, dates and key clauses.
  • Track obligations, milestones, notices and expiration dates; issue alerts to stakeholders.
  • Preserve documentation for claims avoidance and dispute resolution; liaise with Legal as needed.
  • Manage contractor onboarding (qualifications, insurance, security) and close-out activities.
  • Oversee vendor registration, ensure data accuracy and drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate will serve as the central liaison for all commercial activities related to contractor agreements, ensuring seamless alignment between Facility Services (FS), Procurement, and external vendors. Key duties include coordinating the negotiation and execution of contract terms and amendments, maintaining comprehensive contract registers and documentation, and tracking obligations, milestones, deliverables, notices, and expiration dates. The role gathers and analyzes data for RFPs from FS, passes it to Procurement, and supports vendor registration, contractor onboarding, and contract close‑out processes. Additionally, the manager safeguards the organization by maintaining records that support claim avoidance and dispute resolution, thereby driving efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation across all infrastructure‑related contracts.Role and ResponsibilitiesHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:Align commercial terms across Facility Services, Procurement, and vendors; lead negotiations and secure approvals for contractor agreements.Collect and analyze FS input for RFPs, embed insights into package, and hand‑off to Procurement on schedule.Maintain a master contract register (including amendments, dates, and key clauses) and generate regular health reports.Coordinate drafting, review, and execution of contract modifications and amendments through the legal‑finance workflow.Track contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, notices, and expiration dates; issue alerts to stakeholders.Preserve documentation that supports claim avoidance and dispute resolution; work with Legal to address issues early.Manage contractor onboarding (qualifications, insurance, security) and lead contract close‑out activities, capturing performance metrics.Oversee vendor registration, ensure data accuracy, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives (process enhancements, KPI dashboards, training).Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum # Years Required:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a closely related field.A Master’s degree (MBA, M.S. in Contract Management, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.3 years minimum experience working in a project management role 5 + years of direct contract‑management experience, preferably in a semiconductor, high‑tech, or large‑scale infrastructure environment.At least 2 years of experience negotiating high‑value service contracts (>$10 M).Proven track record of delivering cost‑saving or risk‑mitigation outcomes through contract negotiations.Knowledge & Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.Self‑motivated and strong at motivating others: drive team momentum and ownership.Excellent organizational skills: assess situations, set priorities, and manage workload efficiently.Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities: identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Flexible, adaptable, and team‑oriented: thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments.High level of integrity and discretion: handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.Focused on continuous improvement: excel in fast‑paced, changing settings.High initiative and desire for ongoing improvement: proactively seek opportunities to enhance processes.Detail‑oriented and task‑focused: value customer service, teamwork, and flexibility.Ability to meet due dates for action items: consistently deliver on schedule.Punctual and flexible for onsite work: dependable presence when needed on‑site.Financial analysis ability: read bill of materials, cost breakdowns, payment schedules; perform cost‑benefit analytics for RFPs.Advanced MS Office skills: Excel (pivot tables/macros) and PowerPoint expertise. Strong stakeholder communication & influence: translate complex terms for technical and business audiences; drive consensus across FS, Procurement, Legal, and Engineering. Organizational discipline & attention to detail: manage multiple contracts and deadlines without errors; maintain accurate amendment histories.Desired (but not required): Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM); PMP or similar project‑management credential; experience in semiconductor or large‑scale infrastructure environments.The current base salary range for this role is between $84,000 - $135,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.Total RewardsAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
