Job summary

Indiana Search Technologies LLC seeks a detail-oriented title researcher to perform commercial title searches, verify legal descriptions, and compile comprehensive ownership histories using proprietary software.

You will review title reports, prepare reports reflecting ownership chains, and ensure accurate documentation for clients. Some local travel to courthouses is required to retrieve documents and support timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial title searches, reviewing and compiling information including real estate land and tax records, GIS or tax mapping, and judgment search.
• Prepare a title research report with proprietary software and supporting documents reflecting ownership chain and title matters.
• Review title reports and verify accuracy of legal descriptions.
• Handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet production standards.
• Travel locally to county courthouses for timely document retrieval.

Description

IST is seeking a detail-oriented individual to complete title research. The candidate should feel comfortable completing searches ranging in complexity. The candidate should be proficient in mapping metes and bounds legal descriptions.

Job Duties:

• Perform commercial title searches, verifying, reviewing, and compiling information including but not limited to real estate land and tax records, GIS or tax mapping, and judgment search
• Prepare a title research report, utilizing proprietary software, and combined with a support package of documents reflecting the ownership chain of a property, and any matters affecting the title to the property searched and delivered to our customer. Document the scope of the title search.
• Reviews title reports
• Verification of legal description for accuracy
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Maintain expected production levels and delivery standards on a daily basis
• Light travel to local county courthouses is required for timely retrieval of documents

Job Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Several years title searching experience
• Computer proficient, with standard MS Office skills.
• Exceptional investigative and research skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of industry terminology, search procedures and resources
• Reliable transportation for document retrieval when necessary
