Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Glenview, IL is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician (Journeyman / A-Level) for a full-time, high-volume shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience (Journeyman or A-Level preferred).
• Strong A-level capabilities in advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and heavy engine repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification; valid driver's license.
• Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment; CDK DMS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute repairs efficiently based on repair orders and manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to test-drive vehicles and assess components.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors for time estimates and additional services.
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines.

• Diagnose major vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment and specialized service tools to test-drive vehicles and assess components.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide accurate time estimates and report any additional required vehicle services.
• Perform warranty repairs to precise manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills
