Job summary

Tom Wood Subaru is seeking an experienced technician to join our high-volume service team in Indianapolis. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Subaru vehicles, while ensuring workmanship meets factory standards and documenting every repair.

We offer a flat-rate pay plan with earning potential up to $49/hour, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for Subaru training and ASE certification support to advance your career.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Subaru technician or strong import dealership experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Subaru Select Monitor (SSM) preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus (we'll help you maintain them).
• Commitment to quality workmanship and fixing vehicles right the first time.
• Team-oriented attitude with excellent work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Diagnose and repair Subaru mechanical and electrical systems.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining manufacturer standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and major engine repairs.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation; communicate repair recommendations with service advisors.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Stay current on Subaru technology, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
