Job summary

YMCA of Dane County in Wisconsin is seeking dedicated swim instructors to provide safe and motivating aquatic instruction for participants of all ages.

Must be 16 years old with strong swimming skills and experience teaching swim lessons. Lifeguard certification and YMCA Swim Instructor certification preferred (not required). Pay scales with experience and certifications; evening and/or Sunday availability required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Strong swim skills and basic knowledge of all swim strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, and butterfly.
• Must have experience teaching swim lessons
• Current Lifeguard certification and YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent preferred (not required)
• Pay scale depends on experience and certification
• Mon- Thurs evening and/or Sunday availability a must

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and motivating aquatic instruction.
• Facilitate socialization, participation, and interaction of all participants in a fun and positive environment.
