Residential New Construction

Plumbing Solutions LLC is hiring an experienced Slab & Sewer Plumber to take ownership of the underground plumbing phase of residential new-construction projects.

This is a hands‑on production role for someone who knows how to install underground plumbing correctly, work efficiently, and identify potential problems. We are looking for a plumber who can work independently, maintain a strong production pace, and take ownership of the quality and completion of their work.

What You’ll Do

• Lay out and install residential slab plumbing
• Install building sewer and underground piping
• Install DWV systems
• Establish proper grade, slope, and fall
• Operate a mini excavator for excavation and underground installation
• Read and interpret plumbing plans and construction drawings
• Install cleanouts, sleeves, and underground piping
• Coordinate slab penetrations and fixture locations
• Test underground plumbing and prepare installations for inspection
• Identify and correct issues before concrete is poured
• Maintain production schedules without sacrificing workmanship or quality
• Keep work areas organized and job sites safe
• Communicate issues or conflicts that could impact production or installation

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has experience in residential new construction, underground plumbing, slab plumbing, sewer installation, or a closely related field.

• Have hands‑on experience with residential underground plumbing
• Understand proper grade, fall, layout, and DWV installation
• Have experience installing building sewers and slab plumbing
• Have mini excavator experience – strongly preferred
• Be able to read and understand plumbing and construction plans
• Work independently without constant supervision
• Take ownership of quality, production, and completion
• Be able to recognize problems and address them before they become costly rework
• Understand the importance of working at a production pace while maintaining quality
• Show up consistently, communicate effectively, and take pride in their work

This Role Is About Ownership

We are looking for someone who can eventually own the underground phase of the job, not someone who needs constant direction.

You should be comfortable looking at a set of plans, understanding what needs to be installed, executing the work correctly, and catching potential problems before they affect the next phase of construction.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, fittings, and installation techniques, including PVC, PEX, and copper piping systems.
• Plumbing license, apprentice/journeyman card, or equivalent technical certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans to determine plumbing layouts and installation requirements.
• Skilled in safely operating plumbing tools and power equipment, including pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
• Demonstrated commitment to OSHA and company safety standards, including proper use of PPE and adherence to jobsite safety protocols.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including crawl spaces and attics.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions during installation and inspection phases.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain project quality.
• Clear and respectful communication with supervisors, team members, and builders to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel between job sites across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia as needed.
