Job summary

Group 1 Ford of Amarillo seeks an experienced Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair transmissions and driveline components, ensuring safety and performance for our customers’ vehicles. This full‑time role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency and ongoing learning.

You will use Ford‑specific diagnostic tools, perform complex repairs, and conduct road tests to verify repair quality, while mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an automotive technician role.
• Ford Certifications preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on all vehicle systems.
• Use manufacturer and dealership diagnostic tools effectively.
• Execute warranty repairs to Ford specifications.
• Conduct road tests and ensure repair accuracy.
• Support and mentor lower-level technicians.
• Maintain documentation and service records.
• Ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
