Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking an Experienced Security Officer for full-time shifts in Earth City, MO. Wage is $24.50/hour with 7AM–3PM, 3PM–11PM, and 11PM–7AM shifts, offering stable hours and room to grow within a national security team.

You will monitor access, patrol sites, enforce regulations, identify safety issues, and provide courteous assistance to employees and guests while staying professional and composed in stressful situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to work independently and stay calm under stress.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Pre-employment screening including drug screen and background check.

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and a 3 level background investigation.
• Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement or related field experience preferred.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
