Experienced Seasonal Kitchen Staff - Multiple Positions Available

Join us at Cruiseport Gloucester as an Experienced Seasonal Kitchen Staff. We are seeking qualified applicants for seasonal cook positions at 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar Kitchen.

Job Description

Line cooks prepare and cook a variety of foods according to recipe specifications, requiring special techniques and care. This role reports to the Head Chef and requires teamwork.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and cook foods as per the menu.
  2. Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, steamers, toasters, fryers, ovens, stoves, and grills.
  3. Participate in kitchen cleaning and sanitation.
  4. Assist in preparing entrees and special menus.
  5. Manage food supplies and inventory.
  6. Fill in for other stations as needed.
  7. Follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  8. Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness.
  9. Prepare orders efficiently and restock workstation.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of recent experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Ability to stand long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Ability to measure and cut with precision.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude.
