Robbins Lumber East Baldwin is seeking an experienced Sawmill Sawyer to join our team. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical skills and a commitment to producing quality lumber safely and efficiently.

You will operate sawmill equipment, adjust machinery for optimal recovery, read logs for sawing patterns, and ensure lumber quality. Team collaboration and strict safety adherence are essential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous sawmill sawing experience required.
• Strong understanding of log characteristics, sawing patterns, and lumber grades.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also working independently.
