Job summary
Cottage Pet Hospital in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our experienced, collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have strong anesthesia monitoring, rooming patients, assisting in surgery, drawing blood, and running bloodwork.
You will handle radiographs, proper animal handling, and client education while contributing to a positive, fun work environment. This full-time role requires weekend availability and offers competitive pay and benefits through
Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technicians (license must be current).
- 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience (required).
- Strong anesthesia monitoring experience.
- Skilled at teaching, training, and mentoring vet tech knowledge and skills with staff.
- Experience with inventory for surgeries and back-of-the-house medications and supplies.
- Understands surgery scheduling and helps to control each surgery's flow to stay on track.
Responsibilities
- Room patients, assist in surgery, place IV catheters, draw blood and run bloodwork.
- Knowledge of radiographs and correct positioning; proper animal handling and restraint.
- Support client education and act as a positive, collaborative team member.
