Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System seeks an experienced registered nurse for a role requiring over 12 months of RN experience. You will provide and coordinate patient care within a clinical specialty and actively participate in the multidisciplinary care team.

You will model professional nursing practice, contribute to strategy improvements for patient outcomes and service satisfaction, and uphold unit governance and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN is preferred.
• Current Maryland RN licensure is required prior to orientation.
• At least 1 year of RN experience is required.
• Professional Certification is highly encouraged.
• Employees hired on or after July 1, 2018 will be required to complete a BSN.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides and coordinates care to patients within a clinical specialty.
• Participates as a fully effective member of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Demonstrates the full range of nursing practice and contributes to improving outcomes, service satisfaction, and cost effectiveness at the unit level.
• Supports unit governance and adheres to Nursing Mission, Vision and Values.
• Maintains required certifications (AHA BLS; PALS, ACLS, NRP) and essential class/training
