Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is expanding with two 25-bed inpatient medicine units at the NEBH campus, opening January 2027. You’ll join a Magnet-designated academic center, play a key role in shaping a new care environment, mentor nurse residents, and deliver patient-centered care in a collaborative setting.

Orientation occurs at BIDMC’s main campus before transitioning to NEBH. This is an opportunity to build a founding team and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Decision making guided by general instructions and practices.

• Clear written communications in English with internal and external customers.
• Strong verbal communication with medical center staff, patients and families.
• Broad knowledge of standard nursing concepts, practices and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and develops a care plan with implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel to ensure safe, effective patient-centered care.
• Collaborates with health professionals and communicates to build trust with patients and families.
• Maintains annual mandatory education, including emergency skills and unit competencies.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, upholding safety and accountability.
