Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA seeks an Experienced Registered Nurse for Klarman 10, a 32-bed inpatient surgical unit specializing in vascular and complex general surgery. The role is full-time, night shift with every 3rd weekend, with possible day/night rotation.

Strong mentorship and phased skills development are offered in a multidisciplinary academic setting. Minimum 1–3 years of experience, RN license, and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required; American Heart Association – Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments.
• Assesses health care needs and develops, implements, and evaluates a care plan.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel to deliver patient-centered care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and health professionals.
• Maintains mandatory education and participates in quality improvement activities.
