Community Health System is seeking an RN for a new 24-bed unit caring for moderate to high acuity cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients. You will work closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and pharmacists to develop and execute individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

In this new 24-bed unit, you will have a maximum RN-to-patient ratio of 1:2. The patients you will care for will range from moderate to high acuity cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients. You will be working closely with all multidisciplinary team members ranging from the physician and specialty consultants, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, case managers, and pharmacists. You will play an essential role in integrating this multidisciplinary approach into your patient’s care plan.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of RN Critical Care experience

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
