Job summary

UPMC Mercy is seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists (CRT/RRT) to practice at the top of their license in a Level I Trauma Center setting. You’ll support high-acuity patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and access a robust career ladder and leadership pathways.

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT credential required.
• BLS or CPR certification required.
• ARC-approved program graduation or temporary license with transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical orders and interpret clinical data.
• Set up and operate ventilators and therapy equipment.
• Transport mechanically ventilated patients and respond to codes.
• Maintain patient charts and supervise trainees during training.
• Read prescriptions, measure ABGs, and tailor therapy per orders.
