UPMC Kane is hiring a casual Respiratory Therapist to join our team, providing patient-focused respiratory care with a flexible schedule.

Under physician direction, you will evaluate orders, operate ventilators, administer medications, monitor responses, and document care across all patient populations. Possession of NBRC credentials and a CoARC-approved program are required, with temporary licenses permitted upon HR approval.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved respiratory program.
• Temporary license permitted with HR approval.
• CRT(T) or RRT certification NBRC required.

Aufgaben

• Evaluates orders and interprets data to optimize therapy.
• Sets up and operates ventilators and gas/aerosol systems.
• Administers medications and monitors patient responses.
• Inspects equipment for safety and arranges repairs.
• Responds to codes and collaborates with physicians.
• Maintains patient charts and mentors trainees.
• Performs pulmonary function tests and bronchopulmonary drainage.
