Eco Performance Builders is a leading home performance and electrification contractor serving the Bay Area. We specialize in whole-home retrofits—including HVAC, insulation, and electrical upgrades—with a focus on energy efficiency, comfort, and long-term performance.

Position Overview

Our team values craftsmanship, collaboration, and doing work we’re proud of. We are seeking an experienced residential electrician to support electrification upgrades and home performance projects. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working in existing homes—handling panel upgrades, dedicated circuits, and the electrical scope of heat pump and other electrification systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade electrical panels, subpanels, and feeders
• Run dedicated circuits for heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, EV chargers, and other loads
• Replace or modernize legacy wiring (e.g., knob-and-tube, ungrounded systems)
• Perform electrical work associated with home electrification and decarbonization projects
• Coordinate with in-house HVAC and insulation teams
• Ensure all work meets electrical codes, permitting requirements, and company quality standards
• Maintain a safe and organized job site

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level residential electrical experience (or minimum 4–5 years in the field)
• Demonstrated experience performing electrical work in residential remodels and retrofit environments
• Experience installing dedicated circuits for heat pumps and heat pump water heaters
• Experience working with electrical main panels, subpanels, and service upgrades
• Experience installing and bending conduit (EMT or similar) in residential applications
• Comfortable working in older homes with varied conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
