Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse for its 48-bed IMC/Med-Surg unit. You will care for telemetry and IMC patients, including ventilator management and insulin drips, with hands-on mentorship from Charge RNs.

The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive nursing leadership team. Active MD RN license and BSN/ADN/MSN/CNL are required, with BLS certification and prior acute-care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients across routine to complex needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
• Coordinate with the nursing team to execute interventions.

Unit Highlights

Join our 48-bed IMC/Medical-Surgical unit where nurses are cross-trained to care for both telemetry and IMC patients, including those requiring chronic ventilator management and insulin drips. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced acute care RNs looking to build their skills and transition into higher-acuity nursing.

Our Charge RNs are out of the numbers, allowing them to provide hands‑on support, mentorship, and clinical guidance throughout each shift. You'll work alongside a collaborative team with experienced leadership while enjoying flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
