Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care and apply the nursing process as the primary framework for practice. You will assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Required are an RN license and BLS; 1-3 years of related experience strongly preferred, with a graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• License Registered Nurse required. American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
• Systematically assesses health care needs and formulates, implements and evaluates a care plan.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel for safe, patient-centered outcomes.
• Communicates effectively and acts as a patient advocate.
• Maintains annual mandatory education, including emergency skills and unit competencies.
