Job summary

MedStar Harbor Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position provides advanced, compassionate care to premature and medically complex newborns in a highly specialized environment.

You will collaborate with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and an interdisciplinary neonatal team to deliver evidence-based care and family-centered support.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Assess evolving patient conditions and develop care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with other members of the nursing team and neonatology staff.
• Provide skilled, compassionate, family-centered care across routine to complex needs.

Our Level III NICU delivers comprehensive care for high-risk infants requiring advanced respiratory support, complex medication management, and continuous monitoring. Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.
