Job summary

Transco Rail Services is launching a new field services operation in New Orleans and seeks experienced railcar repair technicians, welders, inspectors, and NDT technicians. The role covers inspection, repair, and maintenance of tank cars, with emphasis on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

You will join a growing team, receive industry-leading training, and have the opportunity to advance within Marmon Rail, backed by Berkshire Hathaway.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience in railcar repair or related trades is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on tank cars.
• Conduct railcar inspections and repairs using approved procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
