Job summary

The Boeing Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Experienced Quality Production Specialist to join the BT&E Quality Team for B-52 CERP projects. You will review non-conformances, perform analyses, and mentor teammates to uphold QMS requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in aerospace/manufacturing, QA experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings. This role is primarily first shift with potential additional shifts. Salary range shown and relocation offered where eligible.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Assurance.
  • 3+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate non-conformances and disposition type.
  • Analyze quality of products, operations and processes per QMS and procedures.
  • Perform failure and forensic analysis on aerospace components and systems.
  • Train and mentor staff in the Quality Management System.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness.

Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Production Specialist to join the B-52 CERP Quality Team located in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems

  • Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System

  • Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence

  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution

  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes

  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution

  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion

  • Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes

  • Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results

  • Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation

  • Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution

  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Assurance

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months

  • Currently hold an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or are currently enrolled in an A&P certificate program

  • Experience in the application of AS9100/9110

  • 3+ years of experience using Government Online Data (GOLD)

Summary Pay Range for Experienced Level (Level 3): $89,250 – $120,750
