Join Silfex and advance your career where your skills are recognized and your impact is tangible.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Conduct part inspections to ensure compliance with customer expectations and specifications.* Understand and be able to complete all documentation requirements for inspections as performed.* Read and understand work instructions to determine procedure for testing.* Attend Train the Trainer classes and train incoming inspectors.* Generation and approval of FAIR submission package.* Assist in returning parts to production that are returned to QA.* Able to assist in writing and editing work instructions and other pertinent documentation.* Assume Team Lead responsibilities during their absence.* Must be knowledgeable in removing parts from hold and rejection control procedures.* Know and understand specification criteria prior to performing inspection functions.* Commit to ongoing development and competence of job functions.* Proactively communicates with value streams, including engineering and metrology, to address machine issues and production items, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality and Operating Procedures as appropriate.* Ensure the cleanliness and order of inspection and test stations.* Report any unsafe conditions to Silfex management, including the Manufacturing Manager, EHS Manager, and/or Director of Manufacturing.* Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.* Other duties as assigned.**Culture:*** Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.* Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.* High School Diploma or a General Education Degree (GED) required* 6+ years of previous manufacturing Quality Assurance experience or relevant experience* Solid understanding of inspection criteria and how to apply them effectively* Knowledge and application of appropriate Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions* Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations* Must be able to assess drawings and specifications for inspection results* Work effectively as an individual and in a team environment* Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing* Capable of applying and teaching standard practices and techniques within their work.* Must possess basic proficiency in operating computers, including navigating software and web-based platform* Strong attention to detail is required* Quality and safety minded* Good written and verbal communication skills.* Must be able to perform successfully under supervision***B Shift: 6am - 6pm*****Working Conditions:**The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
