Job summary

Ryan Lawn & Tree is seeking a Production Arborist to prune and care for client properties throughout the Kansas City metro. You will take ownership of routes, equipment, and service quality while working both independently and with a team.

The role requires 2+ years of tree-care experience, high physical stamina, and comfort with heights. DOT and drug screening may be required; full-time with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience as a Production Arborist or in a comparable tree-care/climbing role
• Strong physical capability, including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking 3+ miles daily
• Comfort working at heights and able to climb and work aloft
• Ability to operate in all weather conditions and maintain safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Execute pruning and tree work on client properties across the Kansas City metro, including pruning, removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding
• Take initiative and ownership of daily routes, equipment, and quality of work
• Collaborate effectively within a team and also work independently with efficiency
• Operate small-engine equipment safely (chainsaws, shears, trimmers)
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding service expectations, processes, and timelines
• Adhere to all safety protocols while working aloft and on the ground

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on experience as a Production Arborist or in a comparable tree‑care/climbing role.
• Strong physical capability, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. and walk 3+ miles per day.
• Comfort and respect for working at heights; ability to climb and work aloft.
• Ability to push and pull objects over extended distances.
• Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions.
• A self‑starter mindset and commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain DOT certification and pass a background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Kansas City metro area.
