Job summary

Flex Craft is seeking a dependable Experienced Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role sets up and operates production presses to produce quality parts per work instructions and schedules.

We value hands-on, flexible team members who can assist across production areas. 1st and 2nd shift options include regular hours and a focus on safety and accuracy in every run. Occasional training of newer operators is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years press-operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating presses (stamping, hydraulic, mechanical, brake, or other).
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Understanding of machine setup, tooling, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot common press and production issues.
• Detail-oriented and committed to quality work.
• Work independently and in a small team.
• Reliable attendance and professional attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press equipment safely and efficiently.
• Review work orders, drawings, specifications, and production instructions.
• Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Monitor equipment and product quality throughout the production run.
• Identify and correct minor equipment, tooling, and quality issues.
• Complete required production, inspection, scrap, and downtime records.
• Meet established quality and productivity expectations.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, including machine guarding and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Communicate production concerns to supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance.
• Train or assist less experienced operators when requested.
• Support other production activities as business needs require.
