Weller Metalworks in Libertyville, IL is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for 2nd shift to independently set up and run press brake machines in a fast-paced shop.

This role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts, and performing first-piece and in-process inspections to meet exact specifications. Safety and quality are paramount, with strict adherence to procedures and timely communication of defects.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Press Brake in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is REQUIRED.
• Strong measuring skills and basic math (fractions & decimals).
• Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Press Brake machines, including tooling and dies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to meet job specifications.
• Process, form, and measure metal components to exact customer requirements.
• Use measuring tools accurately (tape measure, calipers, gauges).
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Maintain a zero-defect mentality and strong attention to quality.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Communicate issues or defects to supervisors in a timely manner.
