Qualdoc in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Precision CNC Mill Machinist for a contract-to-hire role. You will set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills, edit programs, and inspect parts to tight tolerances in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Complete setups on multi-axis CNC mills (vertical & horizontal).
• Read blueprints, machining drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
• Understand machining principles, tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and setup techniques.
• Inspect finished parts with standard measuring equipment.
• 3+ years editing CNC programs; 4–5 years designing/maintaining fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setups on multi-axis CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines.
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, drills, grinders, and related equipment.
• Manufacture precision components within tolerances of ± .002 inches.
• Edit existing CNC programs and create new programs to improve efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation.
• Inspect finished components and verify conformance to specs.
