Complete Mechanical Services is an award-winning Industrial General Contractor located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded over 25 years ago, we provide innovative solutions including capabilities in Project and Construction Management, 3D Scanning & Design, Shop Prefabrication, Plumbing and Civil/Site work. We are currently looking for an experienced Pipe Welder to join our team, working on commercial and industrial projects.

Job Summary

The Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding on both carbon steel and stainless steel pipes, working on complex industrial projects. They must read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and other technical drawings to determine welding requirements. The welder will also cut, grind, bevel, and prepare both carbon steel and stainless steel pipes for welding, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment. Weld in various positions, including horizontal, vertical, overhead, and fixed positions, depending on the project requirements. Inspect welds to ensure they meet all standards and customer specifications and perform any necessary repairs or rework to achieve compliance.

Job Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10 hour shifts, overtime required

Requirements

• High School or equivalent (completion of a formal welding apprenticeship or vocational training program is preferred)
• Minimum 3 years in pipe welding
• Proficiency in welding techniques for both carbon steel and stainless steel, including SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW; ability to weld in multiple positions
• Must pass an in-house weld test within time and quality standards
• Ability to commute to various job sites without company assistance
