Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Northborough, MA seeks a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. You will collect specimens, verify orders in lab systems, and support patient data entry and billing processes while ensuring quality and compliance.

Three years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws) is required, with high school diploma and medical training preferred. Phlebotomy certification is preferred; valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, calls, emails).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
