Job summary

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will refill automated dispensing systems, prepare medications, assist with billing and inventory, and help train newer technicians while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform essential functions.
• Associate’s Degree in related healthcare field is preferred.
• LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech Registration or licensure required where mandated by state law.
• PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech certification (PTCB or NHA) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Prepares and fills medication orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Supports medication billing, charges, and inventory records.
• Prepares prepackaged and bulk medications with correct labeling.
• Oversees restocking and maintenance of pharmaceuticals per standards.
• Assists in training and competency assessments of new or junior technicians.
• Participates in quality assurance and process improvement activities.
