Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, Experienced Pest Control Sales Technician role located in the Greater Tampa Bay area. The technician will perform inspections of residential and commercial properties, identify pest issues, and recommend appropriate treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include applying pest control treatments according to company and regulatory standards, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and completing service documentation. The role also involves generating sales through service recommendations, presenting solutions to clients, and following up on leads and existing accounts. The technician will communicate clearly with customers about findings, treatment plans, safety guidelines, and ongoing maintenance, while collaborating with team members and adhering to all safety and compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow a route that takes you to various job sites, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to safety protocols


• Inspect interior and exterior areas of properties for signs of pest, termite and/or rodent activity


• Develop customized pest management treatment plans based on each client’s specific needs


• Clearly explain treatment options, safety precautions, and preventative measures to clients


• Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively


• Educate customers on pest prevention strategies and ongoing maintenance and expectations after treatment


• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations


• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required


• Previous experience in pest control technician with hands-on experience diagnosing, proposing and treating a range of pest issues is required


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles safely


• Physical ability to: climb ladders, lift heavy objects , navigate and provide services inside and outside structures including in attics and crawl spaces and access roofs


• Math skills to include the ability to calculate using ratios to mix products and measuring for services such as linear feet, square feet, cubic feet


• Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) for interacting with customers, explaining services, and supporting sales efforts


• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail


• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments
