Pediatric Associates in Sunrise, FL is seeking a part-time outpatient nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join a small pediatric team. The role offers late-day hours and one Saturday per month, with a focus on pediatric outpatient care.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of pediatric experience, completion of an accredited NP/PA program, Florida license, DEA, and applicable board certifications. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and time off.

Qualifications

• 2 years of general pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant is required.
• Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• PA must have NCCPA certification; NP must be ANCC/PNCB certified."
• Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida and DEA license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric care as part of a practice with 3 pediatricians and 1 nurse practitioner.
• Work a part-time schedule: Tue–Thu 1:30pm–7pm, Fri 8am–5pm, and 1 Saturday every 4 weeks 8am–noon.
• Collaborate with physicians and NP/PA to deliver high-quality pediatric care.
• Maintain patient care standards and participate in ongoing quality improvement.

Position Overview:

• Part-time position

Experience:

• 2 years of general pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant is required

Education, Licensure & Certification:

• Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• Physician Assistants must have passed the NCCPA certification exam
• Nurse Practitioners graduating after July 1, 2006, must be board certified
• Nurse Practitioners must be certified by the ANCC or PNCB
• Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Current, Unrestricted DEA license or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Meets all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
