Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team in providing direct patient care and daily unit operations.

The role involves assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges, taking vital signs, and documenting data for the care team. A high school diploma or GED and AHA BLS certification are required, with 90 days to obtain BLS if not yet certified.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing specific patient care tasks per scope of service and as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges and transport of patients.
• Obtains and records Temperature, Pulse, Respirations, Blood Pressure, Oxygen saturation, weights, and Blood Glucose testing.
