Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Patent Prosecution Agent with at least three years of experience to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group in Costa Mesa, CA. The role involves preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications for Fortune 200 clients and more.

You will conduct inventor interviews, interact with clients and in-house counsel, and support both domestic and international patent portfolios.

Qualifications

• At least three years of patent prosecution experience.
• Strong technical expertise in LTE/5G/6G Wireless Networks, computer hardware, AI, and deep learning.
• Ability to analyze complex technologies and work directly with inventors and in-house counsel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications.
• Conduct inventor interviews and collaborate with clients to identify and protect innovative technologies.
• Prepare office action responses, conduct Examiner Interviews, and prepare other prosecution-related documents.
• Support the development and management of domestic and international patent portfolios.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and developments in patent law relevant to client industries.
