JKS, LLC is a boutique law office in Ellsworth, Maine specializing in estate planning, elder law, trust administration, corporate services, real estate, and probate. We are seeking applications for an experienced Paralegal.Our staff currently consists of three attorneys, five paralegals, three legal assistants, and an office manager. This position will involve frequent client contact, drafting of legal documents, deed research and recording, probate document preparation and filing, and the like.The paralegal is responsible for managing each legal matter assigned to them under the attorney’s supervision and carefully tracking time spent on client work.Prior legal experience and familiarity with a professional office setting is required.

Critical skills for the successful candidate will include professional and timely communications, strong attention to detail, ability to manage time and priorities, and a desire to create a good customer experience.Our paralegals are often the primary point of contact for the legal matter, so they need to have the knowledge, confidence, and personality to manage a project successfully.

This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position.The pay range is dependent on level of experience, but will be between $25-35 per hour.We offer a pleasant office environment with a business casual dress code, professional office accommodations, and retirement benefits.
