Compensation Overview

The annual base salary ranges from $65,300 to $107,600, depending on various factors including location, experience, and skills. Employees are also eligible for performance-based incentives.

Position Details

This role involves handling first-party property claims of moderate severity and complexity, including investigation, evaluation, estimation, and negotiation. The position is remote, servicing the Washington DC area, requiring residence or relocation at own expense.

Responsibilities

1. Handle property claims, including field inspections and damage assessments.
2. Investigate and evaluate coverage, damages, and liability.
3. Establish and manage claim reserves and negotiate settlements.
4. Maintain compliance with standards and regulations.
5. Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with internal teams.
6. Participate in CAT Response Program, including deployment if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• At least one year of outside property claim handling experience or completion of Travelers training program.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to relocate if necessary.
• Physical ability to perform field inspections, including climbing ladders and accessing tight spaces.
• Knowledge of estimating systems like Xactimate is a plus.
