Position Overview

We are seeking a certified, experienced fire and explosion investigator with at least 2 years of CFI certification, located in or near Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Determine origin and cause of fires in structures, vehicles, and marine losses
• Photographically document fire scenes and investigations
• Secure physical evidence
• Identify and interview witnesses or involved persons
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing timelines and assisting with claim decisions
• Prepare detailed reports on fire cause and origin
• Testify as an expert in State and Federal courts
• Maintain ongoing education and training

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing, lifting objects up to 100 lbs., climbing onto roofs, ladders, scaffolding, etc.
• Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and driving for extended periods
