Experienced Origin and Cause Fire Investigator - IAAI-CFI Required

We are seeking a certified, experienced fire and explosion investigator with at least 2 years of CFI certification in the Melbourne, Florida area.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Determine origin and cause of fires in structures, vehicles, and marine environments
• Photographically document fire scenes and investigations
• Secure physical evidence
• Identify and interview witnesses or involved persons
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing timelines and aiding in claim decisions
• Prepare detailed reports on fire cause and origin
• Testify as an expert in State and Federal courts
• Maintain ongoing education

Qualifications and Skills

• Fire Service Background
• At least 2 years of IAAI-CFI certification
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 921 and 1033 standards
• Experience with expert trial and deposition testimony
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with computer, iPad, and iPhone
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to travel on short notice
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, able to work remotely
• Willingness to undergo background and drug screening
